ANALISIS PEMILIHAN MODA TRANSPORTASI BUS TRANS JATIM KORIDOR V DAN BUS AKDP (AKAS) PADA RUTE SURABAYA-MADURA
Abstract
Rising mobility on the Surabaya–Madura corridor demands efficient bus services aligned with user
preferences. This route is served by two primary modes, namely Bus Trans Jatim Corridor V and
Bus AKDP (AKAS), which differ in operational characteristics. The study analyzes operational
performance and mode choice factors using Revealed Preference method with 200 respondents (100
users per mode). The analysis covers load factor, headway, travel time, and binomial logit model to
understand user preferences. Findings reveal Bus Trans Jatim averages 66.10% load factor with
stable 20-minute headway. In contrast, Bus AKDP (AKAS) achieves 80.43% load factor, 30–40-
minute headway, and fastest travel time of 59 minutes 48 seconds compared to 1 hour 2 minutes 27
seconds for Trans Jatim. Logistic regression confirms significant influences from travel time (Sig.
0.025; Exp(B) 1.067), fare (Sig. 0.048; Exp(B) 0.703), and income (Sig. 0.042; Exp(B) 1.364) on
mode selection. Thus, Bus AKDP (AKAS) is preferred for speed, while Bus Trans Jatim excels in
affordability and service regularity.
